Fire socks

Fire socks
===========

For a long time, cd-recording under Linux has not been in a situation
which everyone of us would like. Until recently, all we could do is
sit and watch serious lack of communication between authors of cd-recording
software, distro maintainers, kernel developers and such. Most bug reports
were ignored, and a lot of users complained about the situation.

Libburnia, a project to solve the cd-recording mess on the Linux scene has recently
been born, and is progressing very well. The talk will concentrate on
what we have done so far, and what we are looking to do at future.
It will also demonstrate the undergoing work related to some frontends
(Brasero, xfburn) and ideas that we have.

The talk itself will probably be more interested to developers, but
users are also invited to participate, as some of the work that is
going to be shown relates very much to them as well, especially the
frontends.
The project is currently comprised of libburn, libisofs, and cdrskin,
a cdrecord-emulation based on libburn.
