I am interested in integrating IM, voice, video and other real-time interaction into the GNOME desktop wherever it makes sense, distancing users from bloated and unstable applications which attempt to provide 10 different services on 10 different protocols... :)
A long-term GNOME user & Debian developer turned Gaim "crazy patch writer", Rob left university with modest plans to revolutionise the monolithic approach to IM/VOIP on the Linux desktop and embedded devices. He went on to become a DBus developer, the architect of the Telepathy framework, and founded Collabora Ltd with members of the Farsight project to work on free implementations of the framework's components.
